Deuteronomy 32:9-11

¹⁰ Israel, the Lord discovered you
in a barren desert
    filled with howling winds.
God became your fortress,
protecting you as though
    you were his own eyes.
¹¹ The Lord was like an eagle
    teaching its young to fly,
always ready to swoop down
    and catch them on its back.
